Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase frame speed in a blade drive unit and a focal plane shutter device, and an imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: A blade drive unit includes: an opening formation member for forming an opening for light exposure; a blade group provided to be able to move forward and backward with respect to the opening; and a drive member for rotating the blade group. The blade group has a light-exposure controlling blade member and a light-shielding blade member. The light-exposure controlling blade member controls a light-exposure amount with respect to an imaging element, by entering from a charged state into a totally closed state where the light-exposure controlling blade member enters the opening so as to cover the opening. The light-shielding blade member cooperates with the light-exposure controlling blade member moving from the totally closed state to the charged state to enter the inside of the opening so as to keep a closed state of the opening, and after the light-exposure controlling blade member enters the charged state, is driven so as to retract from the opening.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 21
