To form a blade driving member with two members and reliably lock a member for opening and closing blades with relatively simple control.SOLUTION: A blade driving device comprises: blades that open and close an opening of a base plate; a drive spring that causes the blades to travel; a first rotation member that is rotatable from an initial position to a charge position; a second rotation member that rotates from a blade closing position to a blade opening position; an elastic member that urges the blades to a closed state; a locking member that maintains the second rotation member at the opening position; and displacement means that displaces the locking member. The displacement means displaces the locking member to a lock position before the second rotation member is displaced to the opening position. The second rotation member rotating from the closing position to the opening position gets over a locking part of the locking member and is locked by the locking part. In the locked state of the second rotation member, an urging force of the elastic member acts on the locking member through the second rotation member. The locking part is formed such that the urging force of the elastic member acts in a direction to urge the locking member toward the locking position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 30
