Abstract:

To provide a blade manufactured through a powder-sintering process, which is excellent in hygiene as a knife for cooking and has a good appearance, relating to the powder-sintered blade manufactured by utilizing a powder metallurgy technique, especially relating to the various kitchen knives such as a kitchen knife for cutting vegetables, a cleaver, a fish-slicing knife, and a carving knife, or a various cutters for cooking such as a fixed cutter or a rotary cutter for a slicer for slicing a carrot, allium, or the like.

The powder-sintered blade which is manufactured by utilizing the powder metallurgy technique, is formed with numerous zirconia crystal grains with a particle diameter of about 1 μm on the blade surface, wherein fine vacancies, permeable gaps, concave-convex surfaces, and the like, are formed among the crystal grains. These fine vacancies, permeable gaps, concave-convex surfaces, and the like, are coated with a photo-catalytic film (TiO2 film) 5.
