Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable a safe and quick blade replacement in a crank type flying shear by providing a clamping means for a blade base, a clamp releasing means and a means for sending the blade base into or out of a line.

CONSTITUTION: A shear body 1 is equipped with an upper crank 2 and a lower crank 3. An upper blade arm 4 and a lower blade arm 5 is fixed respectively with an upper blade base 6 and a lower blade base 7 by means of the clamping means, in a dettachable way. When the blade is detached for replacement by a new one, the cranks 2, 3 are turned to blade replacing positions, and then a spacer 10 is disposed between the blade bases 6, 7 fixedly. A blade replacer 15 is inserted into the shear body 1 and halted at a predetermined position. Further a clamp releasing cylinder 16 is set to operate to move a wedge 14, thereby releasing the clamping of the bases 6, 7 and the arms 4, 5. According to this construction, the blade replacement can be carried out quickly and safely.
