PURPOSE: To improve delivery property and to improve a halftone reproducibility by forming cylindrical or conical protrusions in a specific density on a surface layer formed on a base cloth, and specifying the top size and the height of the protrusion to specific ranges.

CONSTITUTION: A compressed layer 52 made of an elastic material is laminated on a base cloth 51, and a surface layer 53 is further formed thereon. Cylindrical or conical protrusions 55 are provided in a density of 20W70% of the layer 52 on the layer 53 to obtain effective delivery property. The top size of the protrusion 55 is 5W50μm, and the height of the protrusion 55 is 2.5W25μm. The shape of the protrusion 55 may be circular, elliptical, or rectangular, and its disposition may be alternate. A blanket for printing constructed in this manner is remarkably improved in delivery property, and its halftone reproducibility is equivalent to or slightly improved as compared with a conventional product.
