PURPOSE: To blank efficiently an object of developed shape such as a box shape by attaching a top base plate with selecting mechanisms to the upper bolster of a press, attaching one set of C-frame type dies to a lower bolster and combining the bolsters with a positioning device.
CONSTITUTION: A blank material for a box-shaped door or the like is divided at the part where the length on the side is to be changed, and all the dies for the respective divided parts are disposed on a lower base plate 13 attached on a lower bolster 14. The dies are made into the construction in which a punch 11b is guided by a C-frame 12 and the meshing with the dies is exactly assured. Die selecting mechanisms which move a spacer 17 by a hydraulic cylinder 18 are attached on an upper base plate 15 attached to an upper bolster 16 by as much as the number of the dies. When the spacer 17 is sandwiched between a bottom punch head 11b and the plate 15, the bottom punch and dies are meshed, and a blank material 5 is blanked. The material 5 is clamped by a clamp 20 and is thus positioned with respect to the dies.
