Abstract:
To provide a blanking die that is capable of blanking several types of metal plate with different thicknesses all by itself.
The blanking die shears a metal plate with a fixed edge 4 set on its lower die 1 and a movable edge 5 set on its upper die 2. The fixed edge 4 is attached on a slide 14 for sliding motion along a slideway 1s, and the slide 14 is energized at its one end by a spring 16 and is supported at the other by a wedge member 17. Driving the wedge member 17 moves the slide 14 accordingly to the left or right, which allows an adjustment to the clearance between the fixed and movable edges 4 and 5. An indicator is provided to indicate this clearance in synchronism with the movement of the wedge member 17.
