Abstract:

PURPOSE: To optimize a gas flow distribution in the furnace radial direction and to stabilize furnace condition of a blast furnace by controlling a ratio of a descending speed of charging raw materials at the peripheral part to a descending speed of all charge of bell-less blast furnace with a designated value.

CONSTITUTION: In operation of the blast furnace 1 with bell-less type raw materials charging apparatus, the descending speed of charging raw materials at the peripheral part in the furnace and the descending speed of all the charge are measured by sounding, and the ascending gas speed in the furnace is adjusted to optimize the ratio of both the descending speeds. For that purpose, an ore/coke ratio O/C of the charging raw materials at the peripheral part in the furnace is adjusted so that the ratio of the descending speed of the charging materials at the peripheral part to the descending speed of all the charging materials in the furnace is ≥1.2. Accordingly, piling condition of an ore and coke in the upper hopper 2 is adjusted by means of the adjustment of an upper rotating chute 3 in an upper hopper 2 of the blast furnace 1 to adjust distribution in the blast furnace radial direction of the charging raw materials by an in-furnace rotating chute 4 to optimize the descending speed of the charging raw materials in the furnace and to stabilize the furnace condition.
