Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blast furnace operation method capable of quickly restoring deteriorated gas permeability of burden after the restarting of the blast furnace operation resulting from a repairing work at blowing-stop time, in which a monolithic refractory is sprayed on the inner wall of a blast furnace.SOLUTION: In a repairing work at blowing-stop time in which a monolithic refractory is sprayed on the inner wall of a blast furnace, a steelmaking slag containing CaO at 20 mass% or more is charged into the furnace before and/or after the spraying, to bring the steelmaking slag and lost refractory by rebound into contact with each other. As a result, the lost refractory by rebound melts quickly so that the deteriorated gas permeability of burden can be restored quickly after the restarting of the blast furnace operation.SELECTED DRAWING: None
