Abstract:
To provide a blast furnace slag aggregate using coal ash, which does not require a large space for cooling slag as in conventional methods, has few pores and is capable of suppressing and preventing occurrence of caking during storage.
The blast furnace slag aggregate using the coal ash is obtained by adding the coal ash to molten slag 11 essentially comprising blast furnace slag and solidifying the molten slag 12 to achieve a glass content of >30% but <80%. Here, the amount of the coal ash added is 1-20 mass% based on the mass of the molten slag 11, and the coal ash is blown together with an oxygen-containing gas into the molten slag 11.
