Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure temperature distribution of packed materials positioned in the deep part from a raceway of a blast furnace during operation of the blast furnace. SOLUTION: A water-cooled probe 13 provided with a two-dimensional radiation temperature measuring instrument composed of a figure transmitting fiber 14, a CCD camera 15, a CCD control unit 17, a digital converter 18 and a small calculator 19, is inserted into the packed material 9 at deeper than the raceway 12 from a tuyere 11 in the furnace body of the blast furnace. Thereafter, the water-cooled probe 13 is retreated at a fixed rate and a cavity 30 formed by retreating the water-cooled probe 13 is observed by using the two-dimensional radiation temperature measuring instrument. In this way, the temperature distribution of the packed material 9 in the furnace body of the blast furnace is continuously measured so as to be measurable to the temperature in the hot packed material 9 during operating the blast furnace.
