Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for spraying water to a blast furnace top, capable of effectively cooling a furnace top gas by adjusting a water spraying condition even if a facility having a conventional water spray nozzle is used.SOLUTION: The maximum particle size of a water particle 11 which is formed by spray of water from a water spraying nozzle 2 and disappears before reaching a blast furnace raw material 7 charged in a blast furnace 1 is designed in advance. Water is sprayed from the nozzle 2 so that the water particle 11 having the particle size of maximum or less is formed and enters inside a furnace wall. The water spraying area formed by spray of water from each nozzle 2 is 65% or more of a circle portion turning on the position of 0.8 m from the blast furnace wall toward the inside of the furnace among a horizontal cross-sectional area in a stock line 5. Besides, the cross section of a water spray interference area in which two or more of a single spray area formed by spray of water from one nozzle 2 overlap to be formed is 30% or less of the circle portion.
