To provide a blasting method, by which foreign matters such as particulates and fragments thereof remaining in a machined surface of a workpiece after blasting are reduced.
According to the blasting method, the machined surface 1a of the workpiece 1 to be blasted is covered with a stearic acid as a solid body lubricant 2 beforehand, and therefore lubrication is produced between the blasted particulates and the machined surface 1a, thereby to reduce the penetration rate of the particulates into the machined surface 1a. Further by virtue of the stearic acid, a solid body lubricant layer is formed in an interface between the penetrated particulates and the machined surface 1a, and therefore the quantity of the particulates and the fragments thereof remaining in the machined surface 1a after the blasting, is reduced.
