PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bleaching composition, especially a laundry detergent composition, having an improved stain-removing and/or dinginess-removing effects, a fabric-cleaning effect and/or a bleaching effect.
SOLUTION: This bleaching composition comprises (a) an effective amount of a protease which is derived from a carbonyl hydrolase precursor and is a carbonyl hydrolase variant having a naturally nonexistent amino acid sequence wherein a plurality of amino acid residues in subtilisin originating from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens are replaced by different amino acids, (b) a bleaching agent comprising an organic peroxy acid or the combination of a bleaching activator with a peroxygen compound capable of reacting with the bleaching activator to produce hydrogen peroxide capable of forming an organic peroxy acid in a bleaching solution formed from the composition, and (c) one or more kinds of cleaning composition substances.
