PURPOSE: To provide a compsn. composed of a blend of an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer and a specified polyamide and excellent in mechanical characteristics, barrier characteristics and the resistance power to thermal deterioration and suitable for a multilayered container.

CONSTITUTION: 5-95 wt.% of an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer with copolymerized ethylene content of 20-60 mol.% having a degree of saponification of 90% or more and 95-5 wt.% of a polyamide blend (B) consisting of 35-95 wt.% of amorphous polyamide (e.g.; hexamethylenediamine isophthalamide) B1 with a glass transition temp. of 160°C or lower and 5-65 wt.% of semi- crystalline polyamide B2 having a methylene group/amide group ratio of 5.5-7.5 and not substantially mixed with the ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer are compounded. This compsn. is molded into a film and a multilayered structure has at least one layer composed of the compsn.
