Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (BX is residue produced by removing hydroxyl group from carboxyl group of bleomycinic acid; A is lower alkylene or alkylene bonded through N; R is H or alkyl which may be substituted with phenyl; Y is carboxyl or its reactive derivative group; n is 1 or 2) and its salt.
USE: Useful for the synthesis of protein or polypeptide bonded material of bleomycin.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced by the reducing condensation of a compound of formula II to OHC-COOH or its salt used as a carbonyl compound. The reaction is carried out in the presence of sodium cyanoborohydride as a reducing agent in a solvent (e.g. methanol or water) at 0-50°C.
