Abstract:

To provide a blind rivet nut having improved gripping performance and sealing performance.

The blind rivet nut 10 can be used through one or more layers. Fragile lines in the form of grooves 32, 34 are formed in part of a body 12 of the blind rivet nut 10. A material is selectively deformed, therefore improving the gripping performance of the blind rivet nut 10. A flange allows more efficient deformation of an O-ring seal 18 to give greater "foot print" than usual one, therefore improving the sealing performance.
