Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002371773
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a blind eliminating the need for operation, being excellent in durability, allowing easy maintenance, capable of maintaining daylighting as well as scenic view, and providing for the effect of saving energy.

Horizontal blades 1 and vertical blades 2 are arranged in a lattice, with the upper and lower surfaces of each horizontal blade 1 serving respectively as a reflecting surface and a light-absorbing surface, and with both surfaces of each vertical blade 2 serving as light-absorbing surfaces. Using the movement of sunlight with simultaneous changes in elevation angle and azimuth angle, sunlight at a horizontal or low position in the east-to-west direction is blocked by the vertical blades, while sunlight with a large elevation angle, close to the front, is blocked by the horizontal blades. In this way, direct sunlight can be blocked to keep people indoors from feeling dazzled. The light reflected by the upper surfaces of the horizontal blades 1 is upwardly admitted into the room to strike the ceiling surface to make the inside of the room bright.
