Abstract:

To provide a blister package for a contact lens and a method of inspecting a hydrated contact lens by using the blister package for the contact lens.

A blister package (10) for a contact lens comprises a base member (12) with a cavity (16) dimensioned to house the contact lens and liquid. The cavity, the contact lens and the liquid cooperate in an assembly state to collimate partially collimated light sent to a bottom surface of the cavity. The cavity can be tightly closed by attaching a removable sealing member (14) to a base member around the cavity. A method of inspecting an ophthalmic lens by using the package is also disclosed.
