Abstract:
To provide a bloating improving composition and a method for screening a material or composition having a bloating improvement action.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a composition for oral administration containing an antifoaming agent, a Cassia seed and a probiotic. The present invention provides a method for screening a material or composition having a bloating improvement action, including the steps of: administering a test material or composition to an experimental animal that has taken feed containing (1) cellulose, (2) a polysaccharide having two or more monosaccharides (excluding cellulose), and (3) an amylase inhibitor or α-glucosidase inhibitor, where the component (2) contained in high concentrations; and measuring the intestinal gas volume and/or intestinal volume of the experimental animal to which the test material or composition has been administered.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
