PURPOSE: To facilitate the production of a Bloch line memory in which a reproducing speed is improved by providing a means for guiding the wave of a polarized luminous flux in an optical waveguide patch and means for detecting the luminous flux waveguided in the optical waveguide path.
CONSTITUTION: A metal layer 51 having a pattern corresponding to a magnetic domain pattern is formed on a magnetic thin film 4 and the channel type optical waveguide patch 54 including the magnetic domain 6 and a magnetic domain wall 8 is formed in the magnetic thin film. In the optical waveguide path 54, the means for guiding the wave of the polarized luminous flux and the means for detecting the luminous flux waveguided in the optical waveguide path 54 are provided. Accordingly, a means for transferring a magnetic bubble generated by cutting the end part of the stripe magnetic domain at the time of reproducing information is not required. Thereby, the reproducing speed can be remarkably improved to simplify the constitution of a device.
