To provide a blocking method for preventing radiant rays emitted from a radiant ray generation system arranged in a room or a radio active material stored in the room from leaking from a gap 3 present between a wall hole 1 and a pipe 2 to the outside; or to provide a blocking method for preventing noises generated from machine apparatus arranged in the room from leaking from the gap 3 present between the wall hole 1 and the pipe 2 to the outside.
In the blocking method, after a flange 4 is mounted on one wall surface of the wall hole 1 and the inner surface of a cylindrical body 7 formed on the center section of the flange 4 and the surface of the pipe 2 penetrating the wall hole 1 is brought into contact with each other, a lead plate 8 is wound on the surface the pipe 2 located at an end of the cylindrical body 7 of the flange 4, a different lead plate 9 is wound on the surface of the lead plate 8 wound on the pipe 2 and the surface of the cylindrical body 7, the lead plate 9 is formed by winding to riding on respective surfaces of the lead plate 8 wound on the surfaces of the cylindrical body 7 and the pipe 2, and radiant rays or noises generated from the gap 3 present between the wall hole 1 and the pipe 2 in the room are prevented from leaking outside the room.
