Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide blocks stored against emergencies for a levee and its method of use, which are rough closing members used when river water increases due to a typhoon or a localized torrential downpour and are definitely capable of corresponding to the prevention of rupture of the river and the closing of ruptured place and also of harmonizing with the surrounding environment and requiring only a small area for storing the blocks.
SOLUTION: This block is a rectangular parallelepiped having a depressed portion on the outer surface with each ridge line chamfered, and a linking means is installed inside the depressed portion. Thus, any person can touch the block by the hand with a sense of security for regularly stacking and storing the blocks in a small storing place and thus a large number of the blocks can be stored regularly while harmonizing with the surrounding scenery, environment and community. Also, certain connected bodies can be formed with a desired shape and a weight and thus the reinforcement of the levee or the blocking of water inflow can be performed at a definite speed.
