Abstract:
To elucidate the mechanism of an endogenic coagulation reaction caused by activating blood coagulation factor IX by erythrocyte membrane, and to elucidate the structure of the above factor by isolating and identifying a factor (protein) activating the blood coagulation factor IX.
The objective blood coagulation factor IX-activating protein has the mammal-derived properties described below: (1) activating the blood coagulation factor IX by acting thereon, (2) the activity is inhibited in the presence of an α1-protease inhibitor and a soybean trypsin inhibitor, (3) found in erythrocyte membrane, and (4) the molecular weight determined by SDS- PAGE is about 29 kDa.
