The ingredient is obtained by immersing the leaves of Zizyphus jujuba MILL in water or a hydrophilic organic solvent such as methanol at room temperature or in a heated state. The improving agent is added to Japanese-style confections, drinks, fish processed products or foods or drinks for pet animals, etc., and is administered at a daily dose of about 10-3000 mg.
