Abstract:
To measure blood pressure without being affected by environmental sound, in a blood pressure measurement device.
A cuff 150 of a sphygmomanometer is provided with a piezoelectric element 200. In the blood pressure measurement, the cuff 150 is wound around the arm A of a measured person such that the piezoelectric element 200 is positioned on an artery. The sphygmomanometer determines the blood pressure of the measured person based on a change of an output signal of the piezoelectric element 200.
