To synchronize both artificial hearts by a method wherein one of the two artificial hearts is driven by a biological signal, and the other artificial heart is driven by a signal from a driving device.
This blood pump driving system is equipped with a master system having pressure sources 2, 4 which feed a positive pressure and a negative pressure, and a first blood pump 7 which is connected to the pressure sources through a first switching valve 6, a slave system having pressure sources 2', 4' which feed a positive pressure and a negative pressure, and a second blood pump 7' which is connected to the pressure sources through a second switching valve 6', and a control device 12 which transmits a beat control signal to the master system, and transmits an external signal synchronizing with the control signal to the slave system. The second artificial heart 7' is driven based on the beat control signal which is output from the first artificial heart 7.
