To provide a blow molded product containing only a small rate of acetaldehyde content and also to provide a method for producing the blow molded product.
This blow molded product is obtained by polycondensation of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid with an aliphatic diol in the presence of a polyester-producing catalyst comprising (I-a) a solid-like titanium compound obtained dehydrating/drying a hydrolyzate obtained by hydrolyzing a titanium halide and (II) a compound of an element selected from magnesium, calcium, zinc, etc., and molding the resultant polyester, and has a rate of content of acetaldehyde of ≤15 ppm. The method for producing the blow molded product is to produce a preform by molding the polyester obtained using the polyester- producing catalyst at molding temperature of ≤280°C and to produce a blow molded product by blow molding the preform.
