To largely vary a blow out direction without impairing appearance of an outer surface of a blow out port 3 and increasing ventilation resistance.
The blow out direction variable device is provided with the blow out port 3 for blowing out gas; a main flow blow out port 3s occupying approximately the whole of an opening of the blow out port 3 and blowing out the gas in a predetermined direction; a wall surface part 1a provided adjacent to a predetermined direction side of the blow out port 3; a crossing jet flow blowing out port 3k provided between the main flow blow out port 3s and the wall surface part 1a as a part of the opening of the blow out port 3, once separating a part of the gas fed to the blow out port 3 from the main flow and blowing out it so as to cross the main flow blown out from the main flow blow out port 3s; and a cross jet flow opening/closing means 7 for opening/closing circulation of the gas to the crossing jet flow blow out port 3k. This applies the Coanda effect and switching effect of air stream by presence or absence thereof to varying of the blow out direction from the blow out port 3. Thereby, the blow out direction can be largely changed without impairing the appearance of the outer surface of the blow out port and increasing the ventilation resistance.
