PURPOSE: To perfectly intercept flying of paint particles from a painting apparatus to an article to be painted except the one under painting by blowing out high speed air stream moving along with the movement of the article under painting between the article to be painted being conveyed into a paint blowing chamber and the articles positioned before and behind said article under painting to form an air curtain.

CONSTITUTION: When each articles W, W... to be painted are moved in a paint blowing chamber 1 and the article W to be painted which is a painting object is approached to a painting zone 1a of each painting machines 6, 7, a high speed air stream is blown out from a blow-out port 1e of a high speed air stream blow-out apparatus 9. Therefore, between the article W under painting and the article W to be painted after painting positioned at a front side thereof, an air curtain is formed. When the article W under painting is further moved, a blow- outposition is changed from a blow-out port 12e to a blow-out port 12i successively in an advancing direction. As described above, because the air curtain is always formed between the article W under painting and the articles W, W to be painted positioned before and behind said article W under painting, by said air intercepting action, a paint particle blown out to the article W to be painted from each painting apparatus 6, 7 can be prevented from being floated and adhered to the article W after painting in a front side and the article W before painting in the rear side.
