Abstract:
A blower unit for a vehicle air conditioner having a small axial dimension. A separation cylinder (33) that separates an air flow supplied to the first axial portion (141) of an impeller (14) providedin a scroll casing (12) from an air flow supplied from the second axial portion (142) is provided with: a main body portion (34) extending in the axial direction through a suction port (13) of the scroll casing; an outer air passage portion (35) and an inner air passage portion (36) which are branched from the main body portion to extend radially outward, and which allow the main body portion tobe communicated with an outer air inlet (31) and an inner air inlet (32) of an air feeding shell (30) respectively. A flow path switching device (40) connects or disconnects the outer air passage portion (35) and the outer air inlet (31), and connects or disconnects the inner air passage portion (36) and the inner air inlet (32), accordingly, air supplied to each of the first air flow path (19) and the second air flow path (20) of the scroll casing (12) is switched between the outer air and the inner air.
