PURPOSE: To provide a method for blowing oxygen or oxygen-containing gas so as not to consume a lance to be safely operated by effecting a merit such as deletion of a consumable pipe cost, discontinuing an operation of a complicated pipe supply, etc., improving utilization efficiency of the oxygen, powder, and holding scattering of molten metal, slag at a minimum limit.
CONSTITUTION: The method for blowing oxygen or oxygen-containing gas into an electric furnace by a nonconsumable lance comprises the steps of setting a height (h) of a surface of molten metal 8 to a blowing position of an oxygen lance 10 to a range of 300-700mm, setting an angle θ formed between the surface of the metal 8 and a blowing direction of the lance 10 to a range of 25-35 degrees at a time in which metal is intermingled with the metal 8 at the blowing position or to a range of 40-50 degrees at a time in which the metal 8 almost occupies or only the metal 8 exists, and blowing it. Thus, a utilization efficiency of the oxygen, powder is improved, scattering of the molten metal, slag is held at a minimum limit, and a safe operation can be performed.
