Title:
BLOWING TUBE FOR MOLTEN IRON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000239728
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve the durability of a blowing tube used at the time when the treatments, such as desiliconizing, dephosphorizing and desulfurizing, are executed by blowing gas and additional particles of flux, etc., into molten iron and to reduce the working manhour and the expense in an iron-making process.

This blowing tube for molten iron has the structure formed of a chemically combined SiO2 layer 2 on the surface of a tubular base material 1 composed of sialon and further, the coated layer of a refractory on the surface of the SiO2 layer. Further, the coated layer of the refractory is contained of mullite compound base composed of 60-80 wt.% Al2O3 and 20-40 wt.% SiO2 as the main composition.
