Abstract:
To provide a color filter to obtain a liquid crystal display device having high contrast which results in a sharper display image and having high luminance which results in a brighter display screen, and to provide a blue pigment composition to obtain the color filter.
The blue pigment composition for a color filter comprises a -copper phthalocyanine pigment having 30 to 70 nm average particle diameter of primary particles and a dioxazine violet pigment having 15 to 40 nm average particle diameter of primary particles. The color filter contains the above blue pigment composition for a color filter in the blue pixel part.
