Abstract:

To suppress deterioration in drivability when turning a vehicle by reducing a difference in output torque that is generated by a difference in turning direction of the vehicle.SOLUTION: An on-board engine has a balance shaft 10 installed along a vehicle width direction. The balance shaft 10 has: one end provided with a driven gear 12, at least part of which being immersed into oil in an oil pan, which is rotatably driven by a crankshaft; and the other end provided with a second gear 13, at least part of which being immersed into the oil in the oil pan, of which center of gravity is positioned on a rotation axis C of the balance shaft 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
