Abstract:
To provide a boarding device and system for wheelchairs that enable a user of a wheelchair to board a railway vehicle from a platform without being assisted by a station employee or the like.SOLUTION: A boarding device 2 for wheelchairs comprises: a transfer plate 21 that has sinking parts 210a into which casters C of a wheelchair W traveling on a platform P are to be temporarily sunk and is to be bridged from the platform P to a railway vehicle R; and wheels 22 that make the transfer plate 21 travel so that the transfer plate 21 is integrated with the wheelchair W as the wheelchair W with the casters C sunk in the sinking parts 210a travels. In the case of such boarding device 2 for wheelchairs, the casters C of the traveling wheelchair W is enabled to be removed from the sinking parts 210a after the transfer plate 21 travels and the transfer plate 21 is bridged from the platform P to the railway vehicle R.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
