PURPOSE: To enable an operator to perform operations on the front side of a roving frame by temporarily placing empty and full bobbins in bobbin change operations and use of a bobbin-carrying platform as a footstool in operating the roving frame.

CONSTITUTION: This bobbin-carrying platform is obtained by arranging a cover plate 21 in the upper part of a liftable and lowerable frame 22, installing rotating shafts 27a and 27b in the longitudinal direction thereof so as to enable the rotation and reciprocation, fixing supporting bars 28 to the rotating shafts 27a and 27b so as to enable integral rotation, arranging plural pegs 29 in each supporting bar 28 in two rows at a pitch of 1/2 that of a bobbin wheel of the roving wheel, reciprocating the rotating shafts 27a and 27b for 1/2 pitch of the bobbin wheel by a ball pitch screw mechanism and moving and arranging the pegs 29 between an operative position in contact with the top surface of the cover plate 21 to become vertical and an evacuating position downward from the cover plate 21.
