To provide a bobbin preparation device capable of making a leading part 7 in proper processing speed even when bobbins 4i failed in leading at the leading part 7 are accumulated in a by-pass passage 11, a return passage 6 or in a supply passage 5.
This bobbin preparation device is furnished with the supplying passage 5 to carry a bobbin 4 to an automatic winder 1 and the return passage to return a bobbin 4' from the automatic winder 1. The leading part 7 to carry out leading treatment of the bobbin 4 is provided in the supply passage 5. Additionally, its leading treatment speed can be changed. The by-pass passage 11 is provided so as to join the return passage 6 after branching from the supply passage 5 is provided in order to return the bobbin 4 failed in the leading treatment by the leading part 7 and discharged to the returning passage 6. A counting sensor 15 is provided on the upstream side from a joining point with the by-pass passage 11 in the return passage 6 and detects passing of the returning bobbin 4'. A control part 25 controls to increase the treatment speed of the leading part 7 when the number of detection of the bobbin 4' per specified time by the counting sensor 15 increases.
