To provide a bobbin thread winding device for a sewing machine, capable of easily hooking a bobbin thread on a thread hooking groove of a bobbin acceptor.
A bobbin thread winding device for a sewing machine includes: a bobbin acceptor (9), in which at least one thread hooking groove (9a) having a cutting part (9c) arranged in a terminal portion of the groove is formed, for accepting a bobbin (11); a rotation mechanism (30) for rotating the bobbin acceptor; and a bobbin acceptor guiding part (8) including a collar part (8a) extending partially around the bobbin acceptor, and a bottom face part (8b) connected to the collar part and positioned below the bobbin acceptor. The bobbin acceptor guiding part has a thread guiding groove (31) formed in the bottom face part thereof, the groove extending in a circumferential direction by a distance determined according to the number of the thread hooking grooves.
