To develop a sanitary body cavity blocking device capable of preventing leakage of excrement inside a rectum from an anus because of the relaxing of the anal muscle after the death, simplifying the prevention work of a worker or a nurse in charge of the work, and preventing infection of the worker or the nurse or the periphery caused by the leakage of in-vivo material.
A expansive sealing member 2 made of a porous fiber material, which immediately absorbs water and bulges when touches the body fluid inside the body cavity and whose diameter expands at least about 2.5 times, is inserted into the body cavity such as the anus as filling a cylindrical member 3. The bulge sealing member 2 is pushed out of the cylindrical member 3 by a rod member 10 to be left inside the rectum, and rapidly absorbs water to swell. Then, the bulge sealing member 2 is closely brought into contact with the inner wall of the rectum to further dilate the rectum, and the passage of the rectum is sealed.
