Abstract:
To prevent damage to an opening/closing component more effectively than in a conventional manner.SOLUTION: In an opening/closing body control device that opens/closes an opening/closing body by driving a motor, a time point after a maximum value (IMAX) of a current (I) of the motor during a drive start period of the motor is detected by a current detection part, which is also the time point when the opening/closing body is detected by the position detection part to have attained a predetermined position, is called an attainment time point (ta). A motor control unit stops the motor at the time point after the attainment time point (ta), when: (i) a state in which the current (I) is equal to or higher than a first threshold (th1) based on the maximum value (IMAX) continues for a first period (t1); or (ii) the current (I) is based on the maximum value (IMAX), and the state in which the current is equal to or higher than a second threshold (th2) smaller than the first threshold (th1) continues for a second period (t2) that is longer than the first period (t1).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
