To provide a body floating device capable of stably floating and holding a body formed with a flat bottom surface, and capable of coping with bodies of various sizes.
A body 4 to be floated for holding has straight edges 4a. A material body floating device 1 is provided with a pair of vibrating bodies 2, 3 extended in parallel with each other, and the first vibrating body 2 is arranged so as to be inclined downward toward the second vibrating body 3, and the second vibrating body 3 is similarly arranged so as to be inclined downward in the same direction. Since the body 4 is held in the condition that the bottom surface thereof is inclined, the second vibrating body 3 is arranged at a height position higher than the height of a surface of the first vibrating body 2. Each vibrating body 2, 3 is fastened to a tip of a pair of horns 5 forming an oscillating means by a screw, and the horn 5 is fixed to a vibrator 6 at a surface opposite to the surface, to which the vibrating bodies 2, 3 are fastened. Each vibrator 6 is connected to a different oscillator 10, and driven by the control signal from a control device, which is not shown in Figure.
