PURPOSE: To lessen projections of instruction panels to a vehicle room inner side by forming a defroster nozzle between a body side member, extending in a vehicle width direction between the left and right front pillars of a main body and having a closed cross section structure, and a cowl member, and connecting a defroster duct to the lower end of the defroster nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: In a main body 1, a body side cowl member 5, extending in a vehicle width direction and having closed cross section structure, is arranged on the upper part of a dash panel 4 partitioning an engine room 2 and a vehicle room 3, and a cowl unit U1, composed of a unit side cowl member 11 and a dash member 16 to which a brake assistor 15 is fitted, is inserted from the upper side to be arranged on the front side of the said member 5. In this case, a defroster nozzle 23, extending in an up and down direction between adjoining swollen parts 21, is formed between the longitudinal wall part 8a of the cowl member 5 and the rear wall part 11c of the cowl member 11, and a defroster duct 62, upwardly extending from an air-conditioning main body 61 arranged in the lower part of the cowl member 5, is connected to the nozzle 23.
