Abstract:
PURPOSE: To monitor continuously physical functions by changing an operating condition of a pump according to a delivering condition of a predicted and measured drug by a sensor. CONSTITUTION: Measured values of biophysical functions in a patient measured by sensors 1, 2 and 3 at accurately defined time intervals are stored in a memory device 10 or other memory device of a microprocessor. The measured values are compared to specified comparison values or comparison values which are input by a doctor with use of a keyboard 11, to determine the measured values according to a diagnostics program stored in a microcomputer 9. One or more of pumps 17 and 18 is(are) operated by a microcomputer 16, to dose a stimulating medicine or an inhibiting one. In line with dosing of the medicine, objective biophysical functions are measured by sensors 1, 2 and 3 and success or failure of the treatment is continuously monitored so that dosing of medicine can be changed or stopped, or dosing of other medicines may be carried out.
