PURPOSE: To provide a body lotion containing licorice and sodium alginate as active components, effective to swell an soften the skin and to normalize the greasy skin when applied to the skin, and exhibiting excellent effect to promote the growth of hair when applied to the scalp.

CONSTITUTION: 4W12 pts. wt. of licorice and 4W12 pts. wt. of sodium alginate are used as the active components, and are added with ethanol, glycerol and water as main components to obtain 100 pts.wt. of a mixture. The objective body lotion is produced by adding a small amount of perfume and antiseptic to the mixture. the lotion may be added to a shampoo or a liquid soap. Ethanol has antipyic activity by its sterilizing action. Glycerol is effective to swell the skin, prevent the chapping and cracking of the skin, and cure athlete's foot.

EFFECT: It opens the pores of the skin when applied to the scalp, facilitates the absorption of the active component, and promotes the growth of hair.
