For the cushion material, soft tuft to be tuft filaments 14 whose total fineness is ≥500dtex and which is constituted of many fibers whose single yarn fineness is <50dtex and hard tuft to be tuft threads 15 whose single fiber fineness is ≥500dtex are planted on a base layer 11a to be a flexible base material. When a body pressure acts on the cushion material, though the soft tufts are bent and deformed, the hard tufts are not easily bent and deformed, are projectes from between the soft tufts like spikes and demonstrate elastically strong bending resistance, and the body pressure is distributed through the scattered hard tufts. The cushion material 16 may be constituted of a tuft cushion layer 13 of a three-layer laminated structure of two upper and lower base layers 11a and 11b and a tuft layer 12 by making the base layer 11 into two upper and lower layers and planting tufts on one base layer.
