Abstract:
To provide a body structure for an automobile resolving a problem that the welding process is complicated when a floor member and a side frame are connected via a side sill without impairing the accuracy of the opening section of a door.
A side sill extended along the longitudinal direction of a body is divided into two in the vehicle width direction, and coupling means 10, 11 made of a recess and a projection respectively are provided between them. One portion 9 of the side sill is welded to a side frame 2 in advance, and the other portion 3 of the side sill is welded to a floor member 1 in advance. The assembly of the side frame 2 and the assembly of the floor member 1 are connected together by the coupling members 10, 11.
