Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cooling performance of a floating type of cabin while increasing the rigidity thereof.
SOLUTION: Right and left rear pillars 10, 10 constituting the floating type of cabin 7 together with a cab side lower member 8, etc., are connected to each other with a rear cross member 13 arranged behind a radiator 17. A sound absorbing material 23 approximately U-shaped in top and front views is arranged between the rear cross member 13 and a counter weight 16 to encircle at least the upper side and both right and left sides of a cooling air flow passage tending from the radiator 17 to a cavity portion 20. The sound absorbing material 23 shows not only sound absorbing effect but also the effect of straightening cooling air and preventing hot air from returning to an engine room.
