PURPOSE: To enhance running stability at curved rails by providing the frame of a bogie with paired front and rear axle shafts in such a way that each right and left axle box can be moved in the longitudinal direction, and thereby so connecting each right and left axle box as to be relatively moved in the longitudinal direction while being interlocked via a link mechanism in such a way that each axle box can be swiveled.

CONSTITUTION: Each bogie frame 11 of a drive bogie is supported by way of paired front and rear bolster springs 12 interspaced from the bolster spring shoe 13 of each right and left section of the bogie frame 11 at the lower section of a vehicle body 10 such as a locomotive and the like. The bogie frame 11 is provided with paired front and rear axle shafts 17A and 17B including wheels 16 at each shaft end by way of axle boxes 18A and 18B, and 18C and 18D wherein the rift and left axle boxes 18A through 18B are so provided as to be suitably movable in the longitudinal direction with respect to the bogie frame 11 in such a way that each axle shaft 17A and 17B can be freely swiveled. In the second place, in order that the front and rear axle shafts 17A and 17B are mutually interlocked so as to be relatively swiveled, a right and a left interlocking mechanism 22A and 22B are provided, which interlock the respective right and left axle boxes 18A and 18B, and 18C and 18D of the front and rear axle shafts 17A and 17B in such a way as to be relatively moved back and forth reciprocally.
