Abstract:
To provide a method for detecting a void(s) in a continuous casting mold capable of monitoring the molten metal face of a continuous casting mold and securely detecting the void(s) of gas bubbles released from the inside of the continuous casting mold.SOLUTION: A method for detecting a void(s) in a continuous casting mold comprises: an imaging step S01 of obtaining moving image data in a continuous casting mold; a still image data acquisition step S21 of cutting out still image data from the moving image data; a binarization step S23 of grayscaling the still image date, and binarizing the same in accordance with a brightness value to obtain a binarized image; a cutout image extraction step S24 of cutting out the outline data of a high brightness part from the binarized image and extracting the same as an image; and a void determination step S04 of, based on the characteristic amount of the extracted cutout image, determining whether the cutout image corresponds to the void(s) of gas bubbles released from the continuous casting mold or not.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
